Open Graph · X cards · social share QA

Build and check social preview metadata

Create Open Graph and X card tags, or paste existing head markup to find missing required fields, duplicate declarations, invalid URLs, image alt gaps, and unresolved template tokens before a page is shared.

Use values that match the final page. OpenWebmaster escapes the generated markup and keeps each field visible for review.

PASTED SOURCE REVIEW

Check existing Open Graph and X card tags

Paste head markup, rendered metadata snippets, or selected meta tags. The checker reviews only Open Graph and twitter:* declarations it can see.

Boundary: this creates and checks metadata source. Final platform previews can be cached, rewritten, resized, or unavailable for reasons outside this page.

Evidence boundary: OpenWebmaster builds and checks Open Graph and X card metadata from supplied fields or pasted source. It does not prove that Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Slack, iMessage, or another platform crawled, cached, rendered, resized, accepted, or displayed the preview, and it does not estimate rankings, traffic, engagement, conversions, or cause.

OG

Ready for social metadata.

No sample card score, guaranteed Facebook preview, guaranteed X preview, engagement estimate, ranking claim, traffic claim, or manufactured platform result appears before you provide fields or source.

METHOD

Practical social-card QA without platform theater

Required OG fields

The Open Graph protocol expects title, type, image, and URL. Description, locale, site name, image dimensions, and image alt text improve clarity and accessibility.

X card coverage

X card tags are checked separately, including card layout, title, description, image, site handle, and image alt text.

Platform verification

After deployment, use platform debuggers and the live OpenWebmaster URL tools to verify the final response. This checker cannot clear or predict third-party caches.
